Job Description:Network Engineer/Tester needed to prepare network/server lab and test new features on IPSA & PAL applications for the clients VPN service. IPSA/PAL are router activation tools. Specific focus on QoS, SLA probes & IP. We are working with applications that configure Cisco routers. The contractor will build environments for development and testing efforts. Needs to be able to both set up the network and configure the servers (including Oracle database) for testing. Must be able to troubleshoot and solve environment problems (connectivity, OS patches, other sys admin issues). In addition, will also build scripts to run as part of the testing. Some of these scripts involve manipulating XML files as test cases/scenarios. So, 3 skills are essential: 1) Strong Unix/Solaris skills (unix sysadmin would be great); 2) IP networking skills (experience in configuring Cisco routers); 3) Scripting/coding skills (shell scripting, perl/python, java scripting).
